First Christian Church of Sour Lake has a dedicated group of volunteers focused on creating a wonderful Southeast Texas VBS experience for Sour Lake youngsters.
First Christian Church’s Sour Lake VBS is designed for children 4 years through 8th grade.
This Southeast Texas VBS is based on on five key Bible verses that will change a child’s life—including John 3:16.

transports young minds into a vivid rainforest environment of jungle sounds, sights and smells, where they’ll dig into the Bible and meet Jesus in every day’s story.

These are a few things that make this Sour Lake VBS stand out:
1. It is an evening VBS, 6p – 8:30p. This is helpful for some families who can’t make it to 
Vacation Bible School during the day due to work, child care, or other scheduling issues.
2. It is one of the few Southeast Texas VBS programs using the “Rain Forest” model. If your child has already done “Kingdom Rock” and “Athens” but would like to attend another VBS, this will give them the opportunity to experience something different.
3. This is a small Sour Lake Church with a dedicated group of child loving volunteers. Your child will receive a lot of attention and supervision.
4. This is one of the wider age ranges of Southeast Texas VBS opportunities this year, taking kids from four years all the way through 8th grade. If your kids are a little spread out in ages, this is an opportunity for them to attend VBS together.
