SetxChurchGuide.com enjoys our Southeast Texas Church 4th of July picnics. We’ve been to several and each is a wonderful opportunity to fellowship with other Southeast Texas Christians. Many go beyond the church community and bring together their community at large. One I remember fondly was held by First Baptist Spurger. A family in the congregation donates their farm for the occasion. There is a huge meal with the church cooking meat and serving sno cones and Blue Bell ice cream (the years I attended it was donated by Brookshire Brothers). Members of the congregation brought side dishes and desserts. The whole community gathered for a truly spectacular fire work show. Does your Southeast Texas church host a special 4th of July get together? We’d love to share the details with other Southeast Texas Christians on SetxChurchGuide.com. Just e-mail the information to SetxChurchGuide@gmail.com. Whether you represent a Fred church or a Sour Lake Church or an Orangefield church we would love to share your story.
