Meet Wildwood Baptist Church Pastor Jimmy Linn

Today we’d like to introduce you to Wildwood Baptist Church pastor Jimmy J. Linn.

Wildwood Baptist Church is nestled in the pine trees of Wildwood Resort City in Village Mills.

Jimmy Linn is a community pastor, involved in a broad spectrum of activities in the Wildwood and Big Thicket communities where he is, “Brother Jimmy.

Brother Jimmy, is a native of West Texas.

He gave his heart to the Lord when he was nine years old.

Being raised in a Christian home they attended church regularly; and Jimmy began teaching Sunday School when he was in High School.

Brother Jimmy graduated from Texas Tech University with Degrees in Economics and Business Law.

However, it wasn’t until he was a Junior in College that he felt the “Call” into full-time Christian Mi

nistry.

Immediately following college he began his Seminary Training at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, where he graduated with a Master of Divinity Degree with Biblical Languages.

While in Seminary, he worked in the Missions Department of the BGCT, was a Chaplin at Harris Methodist Hospital, and Served at Wedgewood Baptist Church.

Following Seminary, he Pastored in Arizona, the Texas Hill Country.

Today, Brother Jimmy Linn is the Pastor at Wildwood Baptist Church in Village Mills.

At Wildwood Baptist Church some recent and ongoing initiatives include:

Actively working with other Big Thicket churches to help foster a Southeast Texas church community
Military Bible Stick campaign in 2013
Robust children’s and family program including several special events each year (Village Mills VBS, back to school program, Team Kids on Wednesday nights)
New Family Life Center for community activities
