Trivia Question: What celebrity near and dear to many Southeast Texas Christian families is the Operation Christmas Child Celebrity Spokesperson? Scroll down to find out!

Wildwood Baptist Church is in Village Mills (Wildwood Resort City) and serves the Big Thicket area between Warren and Kountze. Wildwood Baptist Church is pastored by Jimmy J. Linn who lives in the Wildwood Resort City and active in the SNBA  (Sabine Neches Baptist Area).

Each year, the congregation of Wildwood Church is extremely active in the Operation Christmas Child shoebox campaign.

Operation Christmas Child is a wonderful way for Southeast Texas Christians with limited means to make a big impact on a child’s life. Essentially, you fill a shoebox with items you think a child might want – the child could be anywhere in the world. Your shoebox will be the only gift most of these children receive this year. That’s a real world impact that Southeast Texas Christians and Southeast Texas churches will make this year.

Some examples of items that you can put in your Southeast Texas Operation Christmas Child shoe box include:

  • small flashlight and batteries
  • small toys (quality helps- if a child only has one or two toys it helps if they are built to last. Hotwheels. Barbie. My Pretty Pony. Star Wars Action Figures. Veggie Tales.)
  • Pens, colored pencils, markers, highlighters, Sharpies.
  • Stickers
  • Rubber Balls
  • Toothbrush & Toothpaste
  • Gum & Candy make good fillers between the larger items
  • Nail clippers

Your imagination is the limit. If it fits in a shoebox and a child would appreciate it, throw it in!Operation Christmas Child Uncle Si
