St Joseph Altars in Southeast Texas

  • Blessed Sacrament, 780 Porter St., Beaumont, will hold its St. Joseph Altar March 17 after the 8 a.m. Mass. It will be in the fellowship building across the street from the church.
  • Our Lady of the Assumption, 4445 Ave. A, Beaumont, will hold its St. Joseph Altar March 17. The Tupa Tupa will begin after the 10:30 a.m. Mass with the pasta meal served until 3 p.m. The blessing of the altar will be March 16 after the 4:30 p.m. Mass Visits to the altar will end at 8 p.m. Proceeds will benefit Ubi Caritas, St. Vincent de Paul Society, Southeast Texas Food Bank, Birthright, Assumption Angel Tree Ministry, and more.
  • St. Mary, 912 W. Cherry Ave., Orange, will hold its St. Joseph Altar March 17. The blessing of the altar will follow the 10 a.m. Mass. Lunch will be served at noon, dine in only. Donations will go to local charities and soup kitchens in Orange.
  • Our Lady of Victory, 210 W. Barkley, Sour Lake, will have a St. Joseph’s Altar March 17 following the 10:45 a.m. Mass. Donations will benefit the Caring Christians Sharing Mission in Sour Lake.
  • Our Lady of Lourdes, 1600 N. Main, Vidor, will celebrate its St. Joseph Altar March 17 after the 11:30 a.m. Mass at the parish hall. The blessing of the altar and Tupa Tupa will be March 16 after the 5 p.m. Mass. For more information, contact Dana Baker (409) 786-3953.
  • A St. Joseph day celebration and pasta milanese lunch will be held at St. Anthony Cathedral Basilica Center, 700 Jefferson, Beaumont, March 19. The celebration starts with 8:10 a.m. Mass followed by the blessing of the St. Joseph Altar by Bishop Curtis Guillory, SVD, in the Cathedral Center. Lunch will be served 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Dine in and to-go meals available. Lunch includes the traditional pasta milanese, fried fish, vegetables, bread and dessert. To-go lunches will be available for a $10 donation per meal. Proceeds will be donated to local charities to provide meals and assistance for the poor in Southeast Texas. They include Catholic Charities of Southeast Texas, Some Other Place, St. Katharine Drexel Humanitarians and St. Anthony Cathedral youth for their Southeast Texas Food Bank and mission trip projects.
  • Our Lady of the Pines, 1601 Pine St., Woodville, will celebrate its St. Joseph Altar March 22. The evening will begin at 6 p.m. with Children’s Stations of the Cross followed by a Men’s Club seafood dinner and St. Joseph Altar Celebration in the family center
