- Reaching children. As a child of abuse, Melvin Adams has a special heart for children’s ministry and has devoted himself to being a model parent and inspiring children around the nation.
- Walking the walk as Christians. Melvin advocates not talking about living a Christian lifestyle but living it out – don’t tell me, show me.
- Christian accountability. If you have areas in which you struggle, or if you’re in a position of authority, make yourself accountable to others in your Christian community.
- Don’t offer 8 track church to an I-Pod Generation. Melvin says it is not fair to offer early 1900s hymns and messages that don’t have application for children and young families and then wonder why our churches are shrinking or made up of older parishioners.
