See You at the Pole in Southeast Texas
Southeast Texas Christian Students and Southeast Texas Churches are preparing to stand together for See You at the Pole.
See You at the Pole is a student led movement. Groups of Christian students organize a gathering at a convenient or meaningful flagpole in their lives.
Southeast Texas students are very active in the See You at the Pole movement.
Southeast Texas students are invited to post their See You at the Pole times, locations, and related information with us: SETXChurchGuide@gmail.com.
If you’d like to show your support for students in your area, keep an eye on our SETX Church Guide Facebook Page. While you are there, “Like” the page and you’ll receive updates from around the Southeast Texas Christian community.
Students plan their own agenda. Commonly included items include:
- Prayer
- Bible Reading
- Pledge of Allegiance
- Hymn or Praise singing.
Typically See You at the Pole events are held early in the morning before school starts.
In addition to standing with students in support of their See You at the Pole event, Southeast Texas churches can organize “Saw You at the Pole” events. These can take the shape your church desires: they can be a simple fellowship event to let students know you appreciate them and their stand in their faith, they can invite students to speak, or they can include a slide show of photos from your community’s Stand at the Pole events.
It is difficult for any child to stand up and call attention to themselves. It is difficult for most children to share their faith with their peers.
Anything your Southeast Texas students can do to show them they are appreciated will go a long way.
