Mauriceville Assembly of God – Invitation to Worship

Mauriceville Assembly of God has been growing for over six decades.

The church was originally a small wooden structure built under the guidance of its first pastor, Reverend W.J. Denman.

Like many Southeast Texas churches of the era, it soon outgrew its original building.

Reverend James Sellers and his wife guided construction of the current brick sanctuary and fellowship hall in the mid 1970s.

For many in Mauriceville, this is where they have worshiped for a lifetime.

Those who have done so have seen additional construction projects as the Mauriceville Assembly of God continued to grow.

Long time pastors Glenn and Paulita Landry (1982-2010) oversaw the enlargement of the current sanctuary in 1986. They also assisted with the addition of the Christian Education [CE] Building addition in 1991.

In 1997, the congregation added the Family Life Center which includes a gym, evangelist’s quarters, and a large Youth Hall upstairs.

The church has actively worked to keep up with a growing congregation, but once again has outgrown their current sanctuary.

In order to accomodate the increased attendence, Mauriceville Assembly of God holds their Sunday morning worship service in the Family Life Center.

Pastor Chad Kibodeaux and his wife Lori have been serving in ministry for over 12 years. They have been married for 21 years and have two wonderful daughters.
