On today’s Southeast Texas Christian Family Blog, we look at an easy way to save money.
Today’s article is “Get Unplugged to Save Money” by Jessica Fant.
Did you know anything plugged into a socket is using energy? Even when it is turned off?
Do you leave your blow dryer, lamps, cell phone charger, curling iron, and everything else plugged in all of the time?
We are so accustomed to the convenience of leaving everything plugged in that we often overlook this easy way for Southeast Texas families to save money.
When you’re walking through the house turning off the lights in the kids’ rooms and your husband’s man cave, unplug a few electronics at the same time. Try it for a couple of months and check out the effect it has on your bill. For many families, it can add up to a trip to the movies or putting a little extra money in the college savings account.
You’ll really notice a difference if you travel a lot. Unplugging electronic appliances while you are on the road can really save some money.
In addition to easing the strain on your wallet, it’s a nice “green” thing we can all do.
We hope you enjoyed “Get Unplugged” by Southeast Texas Christian family blogger Jessica Fant.
