This was true going back before the time of any of us who are around today.
The Alamo. The Battle of San Jacinto. Our ancestors fell there.
World War 1. World War II. Our ancestors remain in Europe and Southeast Asia. They gave everything they have.
For those of us who remain, we remember.
We remember courage. We remember sacrifice.
We remember those who gave everything.
