Homeschool Resources Southeast Texas
Today’s featured Hardin County Children’s Ministry is the Southeast Texas Homeschool Community Choir.
Southeast Texas Homeschool parents really try to provide the arts and music to their children. There is a special Southeast Texas Homeschool Community Choir that allows homeschool kids (most are from Hardin and Tyler county) to get wonderful vocal instruction and to share their music with Golden Triangle senior citizens.
Sing to him, sing praises to him; tell of all his wondrous works! Psalm 105:2
The wonderful Southeast Texas Homeschool Community Choir is a group of kiddos that are learning music and singing together.
They meet at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Kountze, TX a few times a month and share their talent with regular concerts at Southeast Texas nursing homes.
Boys and girls of all ages participate to create a joyful sound unto the Lord.
These Southeast Texas homeschool children learn:
- music theory,
- harmony
- performance concepts
They showcase their skills by delivering heart warming entertainment in our local SETX nursing homes.
Their songs are patriotic, Christmas carols, and hymns – very appropriate and uplifting for any audience, but especially so for our Golden Triangle elderly. Not only do they learn music, but they learn that singing and performing is fun and that music gives people joy – a skill that will go with them for a lifetime.
When the boys and girls arrive at Cornerstone Baptist Church Kountze each week, you can tell how eager they are to learn and to share their gifts with others.
It is also nice for these Southeast Texas home school kids to have the opportunity to interact with Southeast Texas seniors.
