We’d like to wish Southeast Texas a Happy Veteran’s Day.
Veteran’s Day is a wonderful time to remember all of those who have served in our armed forces.
Southeast Texas veterans have been represented in every conflict from the Civil War through current operations in the Middle East.

They are running several articles right now highlighting Southeast Texas Veteran’s Day information: local memorials, veteran bio’s, and veteran’s groups.
They are working on a series “Last of the Greatest” profiling our Southeast Texas World War II heroes.
Pictured is Lester Trauth, a Lumberton Texas veteran who served in World War II from the D-Day invasion in Normandy through the end of the war.
He tells some great stories about his experience- and stories that give you perspective on the real sacrifices made by our SETX veterans.

This Southeast Texas Veteran’s Day many churches will be recognizing veteran’s during Sunday church services.
Would you like to honor local SETX veteran’s?
It can be easy – and fun.
1. Take a veteran in your neighborhood some fresh baked cookies.
2. Help a Southeast Texas veteran you know rake leaves or get their Christmas decorations down from the attic.
3. Help your kids make a hand written card or letter, “Why I appreciate our SETX Veterans” and hand deliver it.
A big thank-you to all of our Southeast Texas veteran’s for their service.
