Community Church Orange is hosting “God’s Outdoors with Chester Moore” for the second summer.
This is a real blessing for not only the children of Community Church Orange, but to Southeast Texas children in general.
Chester Moore can be summed up in one word, “Passionate”. For years he has brought his passion for the outdoors to Texas Fish & Game Magazine and to his weekly radio show on KLVI 560 Beaumont (Friday’s 6p-7p). He is so passionate about flounder fishing that he has written books on the subject, as well as dozens of columns in Texas Fish & Game.
I am sure that he brings that same level of passion, his passion for Christ, to his children’s program “God’s Outdoors” at Community Church Orange.
If your kids attended this wonderful program last summer, they can expect even more fun and excitement this year. Chester recently commented, “We’re excited to bring these classes back. Since we had such an incredible response last year, we decided to take it to a new level this year.”
Per Chester, the classes will teach Southeast Texas kids about Christ through his creation and will feature live animal demonstrations and original content written and prepared by Moore.
Not only will children learn about the Lord and about the outdoors, they will learn how the media can be used to reach the world on the behalf of Christ (something near and dear to our hearts at SetxChurchGuide.com!).
God’s Outdoors with Chester Moore is for Kids in the 1st-6th grades.
Classes will be held at Community Church Orange Sunday evenings from 6p-7:30p now through July 7th.
Thank-you to Chester Moore for sharing his passion for Christ, the outdoors, and the media with our Southeast Texas children.
Thank-you to Community Church Orange for providing a safe, wonderful venue for the God’s Outdoors with Chester Moore program.

At SetxChurchGuide.com we have enjoyed promoting the summer programs for children offered by Southeast Texas Churches. God’s Outdoors with Chester Moore is certainly one of the most unique and one our Southeast Texas children are fortunate to have this program available in our own backyards.
There are a number of special things about this program:
1. It capitalizes on the popularity of shows like “Turtle Man”, “Swamp People”, “Duck Dynasty”, and “Mountain Men” that are heavily watched by Southeast Texas kids.
2. Many Southeast Texas dads are very familiar with Chester Moore through Texas Fish and Game Magazine, his books, and his radio program on KLVI. This series serves as a reminder that even the most hard core outdoorsman has time both for church and for teaching children about God.
3. It takes the fun factor beyond the formula of the traditional VBS program and allows our children to participate in something truly different and unique- that is still centered on growing a relationship with Christ.
Does your Southeast Texas Church have a special ministry for children or families? We would love to share your story with other Southeast Texas Christians. Just e-mail the information to SetxChurchGuide@gmail.com . Feel free to include any photos or art that will help us make your story special.
Best wishes to all Southeast Texas Christians and churches in their ministries. This is an exciting time to be involved with the Southeast Texas church community.
