Wildwood Baptist Church participates in the Southeast Texas Operation Christmas Child program, collecting shoeboxes full of gifts for children around the world.
Wildwood Baptist Church “Back to School Bash”. If you’re looking for a Wildwood church or Big Thicket church that has a heart for children’s outreach, this is a good event to check out. Typically held in August, the Wildwood Baptist Church back to school bash typically has bounce houses, a water slide, several carnival games, food, and the last few years has included live music from national touring Christian bands.
Wildwood Baptist ChurchVBS: Typically held in June, this Wildwood VBS is open to kids from Wildwood, Kountze, Warren, Fred, and the Big Thicket area. This Wildwood VBS is typically open for kids from pre-K through going into 5th grade. Most of the Wildwood VBS volunteers have been with the program for several years and truly have hearts for children’s ministry.
TEAM Kids: Wildwood Baptist Team Kids is available during the school year for kids from pre-K through 5th grade. A typical Wildwood Team Kids evening includes a Bible lesson, snack, and a game or fun activity. Wildwood TEAM Kids are also introduced to Missions weekly.
Wildwood Baptist kids attend a Christian summer camp each year. For the last few years, Wildwood Baptist kids have attended Camp His Way in Zavalla. Camp His Way has been popular with Wildwood Baptist kids for the wide variety of activities (archery, zip line, banana boat, water slides, marksmanship) and for the charismatic leadership of camp director Dustin Ellerman.
In addition, the Wildwood Baptist Sunday School groups often get together for fellowship meals, there are men’s basketball games, and other activities for the congregation and the Wildwood Resort City community.
