Southeast Texas Christian Lifestyle – This year, be thankful – and be someone others are thankful for.
SETX Christians love Thanksgiving – spending time with families, a few days off of work, and the opportunity to be someone others are thankful for.
We receive blessings every day – Thanksgiving is a wonderful time to share our blessings with others in Southeast Texas and beyond.
The Southeast Texas Christian community is wonderfully giving year round.
Thanksgiving is a time when a small gesture can go a long way.
- When you’re in Market Basket or Brookshire Brothers, donate one of the bags of food they have prepared.
- Call your Golden Triangle pastor and ask them who would benefit from a gift of groceries or a prepared meal you and your family put together and hand deliver.
- Invite an elderly neighbor over to share your Thanksgiving meal.
- Rake a neighbor’s leaves
- Offer to help an elderly neighbor with putting up their Christmas lights or Christmas tree
- Your children can be very intuitive – ask them if there is someone they would recommend for a helping hand this Thanksgiving.
- Help a Southeast Texas single mom put toys together or hide gifts until Christmas
Southeast Texas Christian families all have a lot to be thankful for – and we can all be someone others are thankful for.
