Student Ministry Opportunities in Southeast Texas – First Baptist Church Groves combines fun, faith, and fellowship in Mid County.
The Student ministry at First Baptist Church of Groves exists to be an extension of the church. This ministry serves students between 6th to 12th grade. Some Southeast Texas churches call this their “Youth” group. The purpose of FBC Grove’s student ministry program is to connect students to the Lord, the church, and to the Southeast Texas Christian community. Groves students are also taught the Word of God so that they will be equipped for the world beyond the church. FBC Groves equips the students with the Word in order that they would become contagious carriers of the good news of Jesus. They hope to see students love the Lord with all of their being, to desire God’s Word, and to love others.
The FBC Groves congregation and staff pray that the students here will become contagious. That is that their love for the Lord will impact others in their lives. The goal is that every Christian is to live on mission for God. This mission is the great commission. And this mission has been given to every Christian by our Lord Jesus.
Matthew 28:19-20 in the ESV reads, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
Wednesday Nights at First Baptist Church Groves TX
The Student Ministry at First Baptist Church Groves meets weekly on Wednesday nights at 6:00 pm for “Fuel”, which is their weekly student ministry Bible Study and worship service. You can expect solid biblical exposition during Fuel, students are going to hear God’s word. “Fuel” meets during the school year. At other times of the year such as winter and summer the students meet on Wednesday nights to enjoy a variety of fellowship activities together. The Student Minister is the main teacher/preacher for Wednesday nights and the worship is led by a band that consists of some of our very own students.
Sunday Mornings at First Baptist Church Groves TX
The Groves student ministry meets on Sunday Mornings at 9:30 am for Bible Teaching and Small Group time. The adult leaders teach for the first twenty minutes and then break into smaller groups. These smaller groups gather for further teaching and discussion time.
